It's a season of returns, with old friends swinging by and dropping new music on eM like it's going out of style. What better way to continue that trend than with a spectacular new release from my longtime friend, Chris Russell entitled "Spectra".

From Chris' perspective:

'The album Spectra was recorded during the late summer months of 2016 after a long hiatus from creating music. After many years of being immersed in the deep end of sound; being away from the studio was a much needed reprieve. Getting back into the creative rhythm was a great challenge at first, and I struggled to find the flow to record music. Much needed software updates and re-arranging of my studio helped me to create a new flow of energy and rekindle the inspiration to record another album.

I decided to allow myself to merge with this project and just record a collection of vignettes to capture what manifested in the moment. Surprisingly, that freedom allowed for what I feel was more artistic growth. With that being said, Spectra has become an album I'm very proud of and very excited to share with you!'

To say I'm thrilled have this beautiful collection of new songs on eM is an understatement. This is some of Chris' strongest work to date, and I'm truly grateful that he chose earthMANTRA as the vehicle for it's release.
